Title: When Will It Rain?

Blog Entry: So, I was at that Freightliner dealer in Stockton for 6 days. That's a lot of downtime. Two days to look at it, two to get parts, then another to 'fix' it. But the AC still didn't work! So they worked on it again overnight. Then it sat there idling with the air blowing full force for five hours. You could've stored ice cream inside there. So off I went. And, of course, it quit again after 20 miles or so. Arrrrg! I've come to the conclusion after four company mechanics and one dealer that it's just not fixable; it's cursed. So I figured summer's almost over and took a load going east. Luckily things cooled off dramatically out in the desert during that week. Highs in the 70's and lows in the 40's. The highest temp I've seen so far was 87 in Kentucky. But the real problem is the sun. I haven't seen rain since sometime in July. No kidding. Is there some kind of nation drought I don't know about? Everyday that dang sun is beating down on me. It wears on you after a while. Just my luck, I'll make it to NC just in time for them to have their indian summer with temps in the 90's and high humidity. Will it ever end?
