Blog Entry: Did anyone besides me feel the shaft we, the taxpayers got this morning with Bush’s announcement that there had been an agreement hammered out on the Wall Street bail out? I cannot think of a time that I’ve been this mad and disgusted over someone spending MY money. I didn’t see anyone’s representative asking their constituents how they felt about it did you? Mine sure didn’t call me back or reply to my letter about it and I’ll bet no one else got a response either. I’m sorry for those of you that are being or will be hurt by all this mess. But frankly I don’t give a rats behind WHO gets hurt if Wall Street fails. The cold, hard facts are that some Americans decided to live beyond their means and screwed up and now those of us that did without so we could pay CASH for things we wanted or needed are now being forced into paying for THEIR stupidity. Will they learn anything; I doubt it unless it’s that they can do it and get away with it. Will they do it again, you bet simply because they aren’t reaping what they sowed. The banks that do not participate with this deal because their executives would loose their golden- parachutes should have their names on a public list so we at least KNOW who screwed us the hardest. I don’t see us getting paid anywhere close to the criminally HUGE sums that the banks are paying out. One guy worked 3 weeks, yes THREE WEEKS and got over FIVE MILLION dollars before his bank went under. Please when does in make sense to reward STUPIDITY and GREED and punish those that do the right thing in their quest for the American dream. Maybe it’s true the good guys don’t finish first anymore. Update: It didn't pass but it's a matter of time stay tuned for updates.
