Storm Update

Exactly three years ago today, I was headed to New Orleans to deliver diesel fuel for the national guard search and rescue crews. Today I'm like the rest of America waiting for hurricane Gustav to make landfall. I won't make that trip again. I've never stopped seeing the haunted gaunt faces I saw in the aftermath of Katrina.

Hurricane Update

Well it seems this time people in the potential strike zones for hurricane Gustav and the rest of the developing hurricanes have their ducks in a row and getting out before the last minute. They're planning on changing I-65 to north bound travel only and I-10 to East bound sometime today from the news updates we've been getting.
Anyone that stays in any of the areas that are in danger deserve what they get because there isn't any reason to stay. They've sent buses and cars to get everyone out... Read More
