Howdy everyone, Well I got caught up with my "house cleaning" here on the site. I swear I have NO idea why the folks in the far east have such an interest in spamming the site but they sure do a good job. Now I'm trying to get caught up with the mail and other things that I'm behind on. Good Hearted did a great job meeting the new people and making them feel welcome and I thank her for that. If you haven't talked to her drop her a line, she's a sweetheart with a BIG good heart. The cri... Read More
Well, I got my pto approved, packed up w/ mom and the kids and took off for vacation. The kids had fun the first day, got to an exotic zoo that has many acres of wild animals roaming the land, divided by fences and cattle guards of course. They take you on a tram (trailer pulled by a tractor), the trailer is fenced. The kids loved that and got to feed some of the animals, which was neat. I've stopped wearing shoes out side and just wear flip flops because all my shoes were wet in one day.... Read More
"I can see clearly now, the rain is gone, I can see all obstacles in my way. Gone are the dark clouds that had me blind. It’s gonna be a bright (bright), bright (bright)Sun-Shiny day". We all have heard those words sung by Bob Marley Johnny Nash and other artist. Well I changed rain to cataract. Mr. Sun was NOT my friend yesterday when I had to go for my post op checkup, whew I could have used some of those dark clouds. One down one to go. The surgery was very succ... Read More
Last week we had so much rain, over 10 inches in less than 12 hours! All of the businesses down-town were flooded. They had about 2 feet of water inside the stores and city hall, including the mayors office. So the little town was really flooded! The water went over the top of the gin mill-dam at the old gin mill. The water had receded some as you can see in this picture. The city workers did a great job getting the water and mud off the streets. U.S. 82 West at U.S. 31 north rema... Read More
