Just a fast update. I had my eye surgery this morning, so far so good a little bit blurry eyed still but it's better than it was. It's my hubbies birthday and me being able to see is a gift to him as well as me. Maybe now I can thread the needle on my sewing machine! I'm so glad it's over. I'm raring to get back to work. Last week we had so much rain, over 10 inches in less than 12 hours! All of the businesses down-town were flooded. They had about 2 feet of water inside the stores and city hall, including the mayors office. So the little town was really flooded! The water went over the top of the gin mill-dam at the old gin mill. The water had receded some as you can see in this picture. First let me say Happy Fathers Day to all the Fathers. I am sorry that I didn't write anything about Father's Day this year but I was at the Pri Med getting my eye looked at. I know better than to go there on a weekend without an appointment. After 4 hours of waiting I'm a pirate except I have a white patch instead of the traditional black. I promised I would check back with you and let you know how things went in surgery...as I said earlier I was awake thru the entire ordeal. It was a good experience and I would do it again if given the choice. My arm was totally numb, it was a weird feeling to have someone move your arm as you watch them doing it, but not feeling a thing.
