Time to vent alittle
This coming Friday is our famous cross-town rival for high school football Odessa Bronchos vs Permian Panthers (both teams going into this game are 4-0). So to get tickets for this game you either have to have season tickets (which we do not) or get a numeric ticket to stand in line to buy these tickets. The district has been doing this for some years now, so Monday at 7a.m. is when they started handing out numeric numbers 1-400 for your place in line to buy tickets on Tuesday there is a limit of 10 tickets per person and there is 4,000 stadium tickets available (stadium holds over 19,000 people), so Im thinking I have a better chance this year of getting a closer number than I did last year (217 last year) so I make arrangements for my mom to take the kids to school so I can be there at 630a.m. along with half the city of Odessa 
. At 7am they started handing out the numeric tickets they finally get to me and OMG IM #320 Im further down the line this year than last year, so Im thinking well there are 4,000 tickets available so I still have good chance of getting good seat no problem. So Tuesday at 430pm they start lining people up to get tickets, ticket office opens at 5pm, Im in no hurry to get there because Im so far down the line. I get out there about 7pm the line isnt very long, that is good I wont have to stand in line as long as last year ( last year I didnt get out of there til midnight). The number they were at was around the 220 mark when I got there, the line was moving fairly fast, they get to the 260, 280, 299 and low and behold they annouce all the tickets have been sold the only tickets left were standing room only on the endfield..............GRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRR I WAS SO MAD!!!!!!!!!!!!! So much for 4,000 tickets available, someone sure didnt count or calculate right!!!! Right then and there I decided Im not going to do this next year, 2yrs was enough next season we will get season tickets!
