Well, The job I was working, I didn't do much work, neither patients wanted any help, even when I took initiative and started doing my job, they didn't. I was told by my caseworker I needed more than 15 hrs by tuesday, the last day of the month. God works in mysterious ways because thursday night I got sick and friday was even worse so I went ahead and called into work, after only working a day, and friday my mom helped me get the kids off to daycare and she took me to the doctor. I had a temp of 102.8 and they were concerned that I might have the N1H1 Influenza (swine flu), so I made sure to take plenty of masks. I had every symptom. They did a swab, sent me home w/ tamiflu (which you're supposed to eat before you take it & who eats when they're that sick??). 24 hrs later results said no flu and no respiratory infection, so whatever it was, some virus had to run its course. Anyway, friday night, an employer I used to volunteer for called me, offered me a full time office position making 4 dollars more an hour than doing the home health.....heck ya!!! lol I took it, I did my drug test today & tomorrow I start training!!!
I didn't make it to the funeral for my uncle kelly, i'll miss him. My papaw is on chemo and my aunt has cancer as well so we decided it'd be better if we unfortunately didn't make it out of town to the funeral and pass my virus on to everyone else w/ weak immune systems.
I'm so excited though, I start work tomorrow and the workforce helps you w/ clothes so I got a couple of outfits, now I have stuff to wear!! Wish me luck, I used to do the same kinda work when I volunteered there but now i'll be taking over medical records, my own desk and everything!!
