Waz Up everyone!
Well things are settling down here a little bit after the horrible scare about Olive’s health a couple of weeks ago. I can go a couple more lifetimes without another one of those! I still get up during the night to check on her and tell her I love her. I think she’s getting a lil teensy weensy tiny bit tired of Mommy coming into her room at night waking her up, but I can’t help it. She’s eating really good, got her strength back and is up to her old trick of trying to swipe the kitten’s food which is NOT on her diet! She hasn’t gained much if any weight back yet, but we’re working on it. She goes back for a physical recheck and blood-work next week I sure hope that her blood work comes back with some great numbers for her liver!
As to the kitten that was thrown out a moving car window that we rescued over Labor Day week-end, he’s doing really great! We’ve decided to keep him since I haven’t been able to find him a great home. His name is Brat Cat and trust me he is every bit a spoiled brat! I don’t know how he got that way either! I think he had a broken rib sometime in his short past life but it seems to be healing or healed up pretty good. He’s not afraid of anything except me getting out of his sight. Hemi Cat and Brat Cat follow me everywhere when I’m out side or they manage to sucker me into letting them in the house to visit. He goes to the vet next week too for shots and a checkup. Snobby Cat still hates Hemi and now she hates Brat too. Olive seems to be the only one she remotely likes besides me. Yup, Snobby came by her name honestly.
We had almost an inch of rain in 5 minutes yesterday, I can do without that. My brother that lives in the Chicago area said today that they were supposed to get wet snow there tomorrow and it’s probably cold enough to stick so everyone headed through there be careful.
It’s hard to believe that the main holidays are about to start, I don’t know where the year has gone! I guess when you’re young the years go slower and as we age they go by faster and faster. I hope that everyone remembers the true reasons for the upcoming seasons.
Be safe, treat others like you want to be treated out there and as always,
Happy Trails NW
