Time will tell...
For all the Bush haters out there, those who have forgotten 9-11 and the situation this country has faced after, the big impact to our economy, the taking the fight to our enemy, and the safe situation we have been in since 'W' started Homeland Security and the Patriot Act, let me remind you..
There was no problem with spending under Bush till 9-11. Not too completely absolve 'W' for any of our big spending and increase in the Nat debt, but wars are very costly and securing the Middle East has been the larger portion of that debt.
And, get off the anti-Iraq war horse! Not only did all the intelligence point to WMD's, torture & Shiite genocide were real, and Saddam as threatening to that area and the world as another Hitler was also real. Those same anti-Iraqi war back-peddlers forgot about the invasion by Saddam and the Iraqi army of Kuwait. And all we did under GHW Bush was chase them back into Iraq after they decimated Kuwait with rape, pillage, plunder, and all kinds of war crime atrocities! Where was the follow up against Saddam and the war trials that shud have been done?? The Iraqi war and disposal of Saddam was just and needed!!
The U.S. has been safe from another such major calamity since Bush got tough, taking the war to the enemy on 'his' home territory, and not on ours, and was necessary.
Now, the question is: How will G.W. Bush be seen & remembered by history??
I say as "A committed man, a leader respected by the military as Commander-in-Chief, holding to the basic values that define this country, unwavering in his judgment and not poll-influenced as his predecessor, and being successful in his 1st priority of keeping America safe."
Going with McCain, we have a good 'chance' of continuing in that path...but, with the inexperienced, non-military minded Obama, having poor judgment his whole life by hanging around anti-American radicals, we will be in trouble. I think that America needs another 9-11 (and I firmly believe that it will happen!) esp if Obama gets into ofc. The Jihadists (already said by Hamas) really would like Obama in, thinking that he will back off on Israel, Iraq, Iran, etc. Plz ppl be aware of this fact--you cannot placate the religious zealots willing to commit suicide to bring bk their end-time prophet. There will be an end-time 'prophet,' but they've got His name wrong!!
So for those cheap-shot Bush haters, I believe that down the line in History, 'W' will be vindicated of any errors in his admin (which all Presidents have---FDR wasn't really liked til after Pearl Harbor!) and remembered as a strong protector of his country... Revive your selective memories, and think about it! And don't be fooled by a conman who is really great at reading prepared speeches off of a TelePrompter, but 'uhs' alot and waivers when speaking off-the-cuff...And, everybody knows that successful conmen are great speakers because that's how they got that way--Obama is a born politician! JAM (another U.S. war Vet)

Well I voted for Bush not once but twice because I saw him as the lesser of two evils. I don't vote by party or anything else. I belong to the party of Trish and I practice Trishisum as a religion. I won't vote for MC Cain, I don't care for him, he's too old, I don't like his wife or any thing about him. I've done all my homework on all the candidates and my mind is made up period.
As to how I think Bush will be remembered. This is how I see him in the here and now I don't care how history sees him. Just like Bill Clinton who embarrassed this nation and took the office of the presidency to a new all time low with the cigar lady, history never speaks about things as they actually were during their administration. I'm just thankful that Hillary isn't going to be in the White House because I hate moving.
Bush is a tiny man with a BIG ego and he used the military might of the U.S. of A because there was a "contract" put out on his old man. It's been shown there were NO weapons of mass destruction and he put us in a war that hasn't done a thing for us except bring our country to an all time low of having to borrow money from a nation we dropped the A bomb on that still hates our guts. Oh yea they OWN I don't know HOW many companies here on top of that.
I have and I will always support our military and believe in them, I have the utmost respect for those that have, are and will serve. However this war has only killed and maimed our people. We are no closer to killing the ones that caused 9-11 now than we were on 9-12.
He's an arrogant, pompous, hard head that doesn't know how to compromise and puts his foot in his mouth so much he never has to wipe his shoes.
He's used the United States to bully other nations to the point they hate us now more than they hate the terrorist. This has to be a fact other wise some one would have told us where Saddam is and we'd have killed him and that chore would have been taken care of.
I don't think ANY country has the right to tell other countries how they should be run. You can bet your boots that if Russia tried that with us we'd be all over them like white on rice. What gives us the right to tell anyone how to run a country, hell we can't even run our own. We have enough problems here in our own back yard that we don't have any business getting in anyone else's. Why should my tax dollars go to Africa to give them clean drinking water when people here don't have it? Why should we send money to the Himalayans so they can have a school when we don't have enough of them here? Charity begins at home folks and until we have our plate clean and shiny we don't need any one else's problems heaped on it. The U.S. of A looks like the World Police and Bush has been the judge, jury and executioner and frankly I'll be glad when I know he's back in TX, at least there he can't do too much damage because NO one is going to want any help or advice from him. I hope I never hear him say "I'll be back."
There's no training for the job of President and MC Cain isn't any better than anyone else out there so I say let the best man win.
