Obama Cancels Visit to Military Hospital

By Mark Impomeni

One casualty of Sen. Barack Obama's busy schedule on his foreign trip was a planned visit to the Landstuhl Regional Medical Center, a U.S. military hospital located at the U.S. air base in Ramstein, Germany. The cancellation left Obama with a gap in his official schedule this morning in Berlin before he boarded a plane to fly to Paris for a five-hour stop over en route to London. Obama was to visit with troops receiving treatment for wounds inflicted in Iraq and Afghanistan at Landstuhl. Now, the cancellation, and the Obama campaign's shifting explanations for it, are raising questions.

Obama's Excellent Adventure was a photo op, and NOT to get facts or meet the soldiers!!  It was all PR and an attempt to look 'Presidential', while adding to his 'skinny' resume!!  As we used to say, "All show, and no go!"

He knows from poll data that the military overwhemingly supports McCain (a fellow Vet whose been over there many times), something in the order of 80%+ for, and I noticed that all the pics of Obama in the 'War Zone' showed him surrounded mostly by Black soldiers!!  Hmmmmm.....must be 'the issues?!'

It's too bad that MC Cain is so desperate that he can't even tell the truth. I've lost what respect I had for him because he has to get in the gutter and can't run a clean campaign. I guess he watched to much of Hillary and Bill.
Of course he can't win either way but at least he could have kept his dignity. But maybe he forgot where he left it. I figured out why his wife is always with him too. She's MC Cain's memory because he LOST his and she's the only one that can remember what HE needs to know. She tries to keep him from making a bigger fool of himself than his campaign managers have but it's a HOPELESS cause.
Here are the real facts about Obama's trip.

McCain: What Desperation Looks Like
Contributed by: Ralph Dosser on 7/30/2008

The dying McCain campaign - increasingly tangled up in the candidate's own mistakes - is thrashing around trying to recover its footing, and is falling back on the first page in the old GOP playbook: bald-faced lies.

McCain's latest whopper is about Obama's successful world tour. During the German leg of the trip, Obama had planned a visit to wounded soldiers at Landstuhl Regional Medical Center. He would have been accompanied only by a military adviser working with his campaign, but canceled the visit at the request of the Pentagon.

That was too much even for reliable GOP shill Andrea Mitchell of NBC News, who was visibly distressed when she called McCain's claim "literally not true" (YouTube video of the segment). Other national news organizations have called McCain on the lie, but his campaign is still out there flogging it as hard as possible. It's clearly a desperate attempt to take some of the shine off Obama's incredibly successful foreign tour, and possibly distract from McCain's seemingly endless chain of blunders. Read the entire segment here" MC Cain, a desperate man

If that's not enough to straighten the confusion in your brain washed naive minds about this last crop of lies, read this story:
McCain Lies About Obama and Wounded Troops
by Brent Budowsky

John McCain personally told Larry King that Barack Obama wanted to bring reporters, cameras and campaign aides to a meeting with wounded troops in Germany.

When he said this, John McCain was lying.  Let me spell this correctly: L-Y-I-N-G. Read about MC Cain's LIES here. Liar Liar Pants On Fire

Seems to me that SOME people forget that Obama is half WHITE too and want to focus only on  the color/race issues. Since he is half WHITE then I think it's a great thing that he doesn't have issues with black or any other color for that matter.
I think the people that try to bring the racism or sex issue into the picture are chauvinistic, racists and bigots that are still living  in the 40s,50,s and 60s when SEGREGATION was the norm.

It's sad that older people in their 60s and 70s are stuck way back then and can't wrap their minds around the world the way it is. Thankfully they aren't in charge and neither is MC Cain and hopefully he won't be. I figure that if someone like me that was born and raised in the deep south 15 Miles from the "Home of Civil Rights" movement can accept it then anyone can.

I usually don't participate on this type of discussions but i have to say that alot of people i know are republicans and they are supporting Obama (including myself...) because the citizens are tired of the typical politicians concerned only about themselves and their business...
Dont get me wrong, Mr. Mccain is a great guy and he deserves all my respect but hes just like a trilogy to be continued... He did a great move choosing Sarah Palin as vp to show everybody that hes the change but, he is not convincing and obama keeps gaining more popularity, the republican party is gonna have to do alot of work this week to keep and bring new voters.
Kind of sad to see the republican party going desperate for this elections
Anyway, whoever the new guy is going to be lets hope he does a good job for this country!

Note: Im not going to reply to any "fanatic mad people post"... i just expressed my opinion and thats it!

Don't worry about any mad fanatical postings because if some one does that they will be banned from the site. There simply isn't any reason to be fanatical or attack anyone over their beliefs. You can express yourself without insulting anyone or appearing fanatical.

I've never been devoted to any party I vote for the person not the party.

I'll vote for Obama simply because I want change, I want to see something different happen in our political system that is for the good and not the same old rhetoric and re-runs. MC Cain has run the "I'm a Vet and former POW into the ground" for me and a lot of others. As I've stated before I appreciate his service and that's that. My Uncle was in more military actions than MC Cain can even think about but that doesn't make my Uncle qualified to be President. MC Cain's pick for V.P. just shows a lack of judgment and is an insult to women everywhere. "Here ladies I'll give you a token female now vote for me so the men can get back to business as usual." Please there are some of us that are not that stupid and take offense to being treated like we are.

What other issues with his running mate don't we know about? MC Cain really didn't think this through at all and The Republican party has said as much.

Sure there will be some women that vote for him because of Palin and that's a shame because those women aren't voting for what's best for the country. They're voting for gender and it's a pity. The complained they want equal treatment yet they can't stand it when they get it.
They aren't breaking the glass ceiling but patching the cracks because she simply isn't qualified in my mind to take over in the event that something happens to MC Cain. I don't care if she is an excellent shot, can juggle soccer games and commercial fishing around running a state that has the highest suicide rate in the country. Never mind that she's more of the same old game of drill for oil in one of the few pristine places on the earth left and continue the addiction to oil for another 100 years.

I'm sure that the fact that her 17 year old daughter being unmarried and pregnant sends out a really great message about her as a parent and really sets an example of non parenting that I wouldn't want my children or grandchildren to follow.

Yes I think you should be married when you have children and I know that at the age of 17 you have about as much business with a child as a boar hog has for teats. I know because I married at 15, I had my son at 18 and that was one of the biggest mistakes not just for me but for him. It doesn't mean I didn't love him or try to do the best I knew how it just means that it wasn't a stellar situation for either of us. I wasn't equipped to be a parent at all. A babysitter does not a parent make.

Yes there are a lot of great single parents that are unmarried, but in my heart I believe that there should be a relationship before their is a baby. Most of the time I don't give a teenager becoming a parent two seconds worth of though because it's not something that sets an example to the rest of the teenagers.

It's different when you are a President or Vice Presidential candidate simply because I think you have to subscribe to and uphold a higher set of moral rules than the rest of us because you represent the entire country if you are elected.

I am tired of being called naive and stupid becaue I dare to think different ly than someone else.   Yes he snubbed our soldiers in Germany,  I went through that nonsense one time in Vietnam I will not stand by again and watch that happen to this generation.   Take your simplistic statements put them somewhere else such as the trash can.   You vote for whom you want to I intend to vote the same way.   But don't call me brain washed, simple, or stupid again.   That is the main reason I will not vote for Obama.   I dont know who I am voting for but I will not vote for him.   You Obama worshippers need a lesson in civility, you might have had a vote for him if you could learn to keep your mouth shut.   As it is you have lost  a vote for him.   Good job.    Change at any cost is not a good thing.   Oh, by the way if Obama gets elected are you going to bow or genuflect,  are you going to call him Your Majesty or His Royal Highness?

To WHOM are you speaking? I didn't see where anyone had called you or anyone else "naive and stupid". Please use the quote command so that we can follow what your conversation is about and to who you are speaking.
