I was hired by Arrow Trucking to be a flatbed driver, and before i left maine, i had to tie up a few loose end. They wanted me to leave in the morning on a bus, and i wouldn't be back for almost a month, i spent everything my family had, and then they tell me i'm sorry we can't hire you anymore, because your from Maine,,,,What the hell is there a fella can do about big company's that do this?

A sad but true fact. Most states are what is called "free will states' . Which means that they can hire, fire change your job description, eliminate your job pretty much anything they want without a reason. One of the only ways this backfires is if you can PROVE that they fired you for reasons that are covered under the Civil Rights Act of 1965, during the 1980s and through 1991. These laws are continuously being challenged, charged modified and in some cases eliminated.
