Hi! I'm a married lease operator with Prime, Inc. My husband and I drive team; I'm dayshift, he's night. He's also the experienced one, since I've only been driving 2 months.
I'm fascinated by alternative architecture, and very social; we both want to live in an Intentional Community (IC) where each family has a small apartment and multiple families share living spaces, including family room, kitchen, etc. as well as chores (lawn mowing, cooking and so on.) I'm easy to get along with, and I love people of all kinds.
This is my second marriage. I had a more conventional suburban lifestyle in a former marriage, and it didn't suit my gypsy temperament, so I dyed my hair red and sought out an experienced truck driver to teach me the ropes. We fell in love and got married.
My husband calls himself a newage, redneck, truck driving geek. I'm just semi-civilized and addicted to computers... lol. We drive by GPS navigation most of the time, and have cellular internet to aid us as well, so we're online regularly no matter where in the US we are. We run the 48, but like most drivers try to stay out of the northeast as much as possible.
I like to go to renaissance fairs. I play my Scottish harp when I can, though I'm always reluctant to take a lovely, carefully constructed and temperamental instrument out into the dust or rain. Most fairs also require a CD or live interview and a commitment, which doesn't work with my trucking lifestyle, so I find SCA events more appropriate, though harder to find.
I also love to hike in the mountains and geocache, and got up to a blue belt in karate before having to leave classes for the road. I'd love to do dog carting, though I'd need a home for a dog that was big enough.
