Can't stay away....

I just stopped in and tried to play catch up here on T.S., and am happy to see so many still here, off and on as I am.  I am sorry for not stopping in more often.  I am still pounding a computer eight hours a day at a call center.  Off due to stress on my spine and lower back now.  Go figure, can't drive a truck because of my arm, no because of this.

Well, I might have to go back into Lending and see if this will put some money in the bank.  My passion in life is always to help people financially, by giving sound advice to anyone who might need it.  I am a firm believer in home ownership, if a person has the means to do so.  It is not easy to be a home owner as many of you already know.  But...it is a rewarding feeling to be one.

Update on Mortgaging your home

OK here is something to think about.  I hope this information will help you in these bad times.

An Appraiser will not be able to be assigned by a Loan Officer of a Bank or Mortgage Company, at least in forteen states at present.  New legislation is being inacted as we speak to disallow any L.O. to discuss figures that would persuade any Appraiser to use illegal practices to obtain a higher amount of the value of any home for the purposes of a mortgage loan.
This is a step in the right direction, as many of the homes that are in repossession now is the result of values that were never there. 

And, more protection is already in place as well.  A company that is national now will review appraisals to ensure no illegal actions were taken to obtain a figure to meet the needs of the Banks.
I hope this will help you all to uderstand the new process which will in the long run help us all.

Cyndi is Cancer Free

I am writing this blog post in Pink for a special reason.  It is in honor of my wife Cyndi, being Cancer Free as of today.  She had three surgery's to try for clear margins on this Cancer, called Adenoid Cystic Carcenoma.  Yes, it's a mouth ful to say or type.  We have come to know this cancer, and what it can do, it is devestating.

This cancer is a sneak.  It is not seen by the naked eye, nor can you see it on a MRI, you are luck if you have a lump, as that is the only way it will be detected.  This cancer is usually in the head area, and throat.  It is rare to be in the breast.  It took a complete mastectomy to rid the cancer in Cyndi.

That my friends is a small price to pay to save a life.  She has a long way to go from here, but she will make it.  Your continued prayers are welcomed, you already know that I know.

Sorry we have not been on here as much, but I think you understand.

Merry Christmas Everyone

Hi everyone, I woke up this morning and had TS on my mind, and to those Drivers out there at a truck stop, waiting for the holiday to get over so you can hit the road again, and to those that are on the road as we write this, I wish you all the best of Christmas's, and a safe one.

Now to the families that are missing that Driver that is not home for this special day...
Your the back bone that takes the hits from the daily duties of raising your special one's, I wish you the same, with admiration for you and your special Driver, it takes a team to go through what you both do....Merry Christmas Everyone, and I hope your rejoined soon, that is what it is all about, you think?  Sure it is....Have a great day.

and the President Elect says....

Now our President Elect Says....the worst is yet to come, and our economy has hard time ahead....

Now why didn't he say this during the election campaign?  Or did I miss something?  In any regard, I agree with him...we have not seen the end of this mess.  And, for those of you who think that creating jobs is going to help, beware!  Yes there will be new jobs, but be careful where you hang your hat.  Some good questions for starters are:
What is the hourly wage, or is it all commission based?
How much do I pay for family health insurance?
When does my 401-K start, and when am I fully vested?
Paid time off?  Vacation per year available?  Or do I have to work my rear off, to earn time off, only to have it swollowed up with sick days off in between?
The reason I am writing this, is simple.  There are already companies out there that hire you, promise you the moon, and then the reality kicks in, this place really is not what I signed on for.  The hourly wage is eight bucks an hour, the company makes you pay 50% medical costs, and what vacation time, your might have to beg for time off just to go to the doctor, to use you wonderful health care benefits your paying for anyway.

I know there are good companies out there to work for, but beware, and be careful.  I suggest you interview the company, you make the choice before they come back to you, and be ready for any down fall.    Good luck to us all.  Be careful, stay safe..... Semper Fi, Bob
