well i have a roofing contractor doing some much needed repairs. its the SAME contrator (roofing company) my dad and uncle had here well over 20 years ago....how's that for a company still in business these days...??? well anyways, they had to put a rubber membrane roof over a flat section that the house has. up until now, it was the ordinary 'asphalt paper" type of covering, followed by the usual shingles up from there. they also had to do some gutter repairs, which are to this da... Well, it looks like I got super lucky with my first student. This kid could drive right off the bat. Heck, he backed the darn thing in better than I could've. But of course I'm going to take full credit; that's a result of my superior training! Why this guy has to do 300 hours is beyond me. I have been working at a fuel desk for a couple of years now, and on more than one occasion I have been told that I am the only person in the U.S. that won't accept a credit card without matching i.d. I am the first to admit I don't get out much and everywhere I use my card, they know me, but is this true? Does no one check for i.d.? I read a poll by Trukker, and it got me to thinking about why we don’t talk on the CB radio like we used to.
