I've been reading though the various postings here and else where about the proposed strike and the actions that SOME of the participating "drivers" and I use the term drivers loosely here, have been taking and frankly it's appalling the behavior that has been demonstrated by some of them. Some of the people striking have the right idea by talking to the media while parked in a safe place that doesn't cause any hullabaloo with the businesses and public that we have to get... Read More
Have you ever been to MATS? It's something that you have to attend at least once during your career as a driver or even if you aren't a driver. It's acres of everything trucking from the finest show trucks to the latest and greatest in technology. So I went to my step dad who has been a successful business owner for the past 10 years and asked... Read More
Today as I was sitting in physical therapy, enjoying the warmth of the heat pack on my neck, an "alert" came across the screen of the television that was tuned in to CNN. "Massive pile up on Indiana I94 between LaPorte and Michigan City". The picture looked like a junkyard. Cars and semi's in a jumbled heap all over, some mangled beyond recognition. Contents of trailers strewn all over the highway and tractors actually underneath the trailers they were pulling. T... Read More
